(Perfect Winter Escape)
If you tear yourself away from the outdoor comfort, you'll find the interior is equally accommodating. In a large, open room, the dining area (seating for 8) is just to the side of the kitchen, where there are 4 stools along the counter. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, gas range with oven, microwave and toaster ovens, and blender.* Storage shelves run all along under the counter, and a large window opens to the patio and serves as a pass-through for food and beverages...perfect for entertaining. The floors are polished concrete (untiled), and there are planters and décor, and a wall of glass that constantly invites you to the outdoors.
Once you're outside, the guest bathroom is to the side of the pool. There's also a storage area there. Just around the corner, you return to the patio living-room, and an outdoor dining area (seating for 6). To the rear of this, is a wing where the three downstairs bedrooms are found.
Bedrooms: the first bedroom, with A/C, shares a bathroom with the second bedroom. The third bedroom has use of the guest bathroom. Each bedroom has a double bed on a built-in base, ceiling fan and open closet. All of these bedrooms open to the yard and pool area, and enjoy lots of light. Besides the windows (all screened) on the pool side, the first bedroom has two windows to the north, while the second room has a skylight, and the third has windows to the south. The master bedroom (up the stairs to the side of the kitchen) is a world apart. The bathroom is to one side, with the sinks and dressing table along a recessed wall. There's a king size bed on a raised platform, and a sitting area to the side; A/C, TV (closet, ceiling fan), and two balconies. From a small balcony on the north, you can see the Gulf. The balcony on the south has no railing, but it's very large, and the sliding glass doors to both balconies give lots of light to the bedroom.
Located about 8 blocks east of Chicxulub Puerto, or 14 blocks from the center of town and the mercado, which is also where you find the collective cabs that take you into Progreso.
