Welcome to Yucatán Vacation Home Rentals & Property Management

Check out our variety of properties from the pictures below and the list on the left.

(Click on a property photo and a slide show starts near the top of this page.  The property number is in the lower left-hand corner, and you can count down the list, with Mérida Mini Hacienda being #1).

Other than the two Mérida listings, all properties are on the Gulf coast, from Progreso east to San Bruno (map below).

Generally, the properties are listed in order of monthly rate, highest to lowest, but be sure to look at the subpages of any "Group" listings to find the individual property´s information.

We are adding or updating properties every few days, so please check back frequently.

And, owners, remember that we offer Property Management, either full-service or on an as-needed, fee basis.)

Remember, the "right" side of the peninsula

is on the left side of the map.

Mérida (MID) is the closest international airport, but you may find that flights to Cancún are cheaper.  Feel free to contact us for helpful information regarding travel between the two cities.

There are many advantages to vacation home rentals.  For one, you can choose your style of accommodation, whether it´s condos, villas or beach houses.  For another, they also offer you more choices in location...in the city, in a fishing village, or away from it all, on a quiet stretch of beach.  And, they offer savings over a stay in a hotel.  This is especially true for the Gulf coast of Mexico, in contrast to the high prices that are now common in Cancun and along the Caribbean side of the Yucatan Peninsula.
For the real bargain hunters, there are some simple (hence cheaper) yet comfortable, lower priced options.  However, if you prefer a luxury villa, you can still save money. Meals can be prepared in the comfort of your own 'home' instead of always having to pay the costs of eating out, thus allowing you to relax and enjoy all of the amenities that are available to you. If you already know people in the area, or if you make new friends, it's easy to entertain them when you're staying in a vacation rental. You may decide on an oceanfront condo, or if it's privacy that you want, nothing is better than a beach house getaway.
So why choose Yucatán?  Perhaps most importantly, because Yucatán enjoys the reputation of being the safest state in Mexico.  Also, the Yucatecos, or people of Yucatán, are famously friendly.  Add to that, the fact that the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula has become heavily commercialized in recent years, so if you´re looking for some time in the "real" Mexico, the Gulf coast is for you.  Here, you can still find miles of secluded, untouched beaches, or you can tour colonial cities like Mérida and Izamal, or ancient Mayan cities like Uxmal and Dzibilchaltun, all within a couple hours´ driving time.  You can go fishing in the Gulf, swimming in the fresh water cenotes, or you can just relax and swing in your hammock.  The culture is diverse, as is the food, since they combine influences from the traditional Maya to the Spanish conquistadors.

In short, a vacation home rental on the beautiful Gulf coast of Mexico can make for an unforgettable vacation, or even better, a long term stay.
